yours truly created ViCOPING’s website and brand as an attempt to build a creative community. Here we look to celebrate all our highs, lows, strengths, vulnerabilities, similarities, differences and all aspects of our creative self. Certainly, you will soon notice how this is an open, relaxed and chill environment. You don’t need a particular background, language (inclusive and non discriminatory), or medium; we are to celebrate YOU.
Start and mission
Originally, my vision was to create a platform where I could post and host a blog with text entries as well as episodes from the Crashing Majors podcast. Soon after, the need for a community became extremely important. At the end of the day, who are we without each other? So before ViCOPING was even an actual digital space, I wanted for a creative community to be naturally born by coping together through art.
Why “ViCOPING”?
A little bit of more background on the brand’s creation, the name was inspired from my Guitar Hero band name Vicop! After some thinking and word play, considering that my nickname is V (Vie), the brand’s name became ViCOPING. Yes, as in Veronica coping. Coping through creative pieces.
How do WeCOPE?
Now you know the basics of this project’s creating, I believe necessary to let you know how to participate! You can cope with us in two different ways.
1. You can go to the Contact Us page and submit your work or inquire about collaborative projects.
2. You can create an account with us within the Community page so you can upload your creative work with more frequency.
We are open to receive written pieces, pictures, videos, audios and any other type of multimedia that you prefer as your medium, to be displayed on our website. Cope, through art, with us!1
